Please note the ferries are not ‘all weather ferries’ and are subject to weather and sea conditions. In the interest of passenger safety cancellations without notification may occur. Passengers are advised to check weather conditions before travel and check our website right up to the time of travel for any disruptions to service.

What time do I need to arrive at the jetty for boarding?

Please arrive at the jetty at least 10 minutes prior to departure.

Where can I park?
Street Car parking is available at both Stony Point and Cowes, however, it is not secure and the company does not take responsibility for the cars of passengers left at the piers.
Does the ferry operate in rough weather?
Weather and sea conditions, as well as tidal variations can make operations challenging in this area. In the interest of passenger safety, Western Port Ferries cannot guarantee operations daily in accordance with our timetable. Passengers are encouraged to visit our website on the day of travel to check the operation times.
How can I book?
We recommend that you book online.  There are limited tickets available for purchase onboard.
What are the accepted Payment Methods?

Onboard ticket purchase – Cash, EFTPOS, Mastercard and Visa.

All fares are inclusive of GST and Western Port Ferries reserves the right to alter times and/or fares without prior notice.

Can I take my push bike/bicycle on the ferry?
Yes, push bikes/bicycles can travel on the ferry with the rider. Due to limited storage for push bikes/bicycles, we recommend that passengers intending to bring a push bike/bicycle book online.  The applicable fare applies view fares here.
Can I take my dog on the ferry and how much will it cost?
Yes, you can travel with your dog and at no extra cost. However, the dog must be on a leash and is restricted to the external decks (not permitted in the passenger lounge.) The only exceptions are guide dogs (‘seeing eye’ dogs and ‘hearing’ dogs), who must accompany their owners into the passenger areas. Guide dogs in training are also allowed in all areas of the vessel so long as they are wearing their guide dog in training vest.
Freight and Luggage Queries?
Passengers may travel with freight and luggage at no extra charge. Unaccompanied freight consignments are not permitted.
